Linking!

Link to a Page (Option 1)

  1. Place your cursor where you would like to insert the link
  2. Look to the right-hand side of the screen
  3. Click on the page you would like to insert
  4. Voila!
  5. SAVE

(Hint: This is the same process you used for adding an image, but with a Page it creates a handy link)

Linking to a Page (Option 2), External Website, or Email Address

  1. Type in what you want to link to
  2. Highlight the word or phrase: i.e. Go back to the homepage
  3. With the word highlighted, click on the link icon in the toolbar above (hint: it looks like a world with a chain link)
  4. Select your link type: either another page for your wiki, an external website, or email address
  5. If link type is PBWiki Page: select the page from the second drop-down menu or select "New Page" if you are creating a new one, i.e. Go back to the homepage
  6. If External URL: Select link type "URL" from the first drop down menu, then type in, or copy and paste, a URL (web address) from the website you want to link to, i.e. Wikipedia

  7. SAVE

(Advanced Note: You can link an image to another page or external website in the same way. Just highlight the image and follow steps 1-6 above)

Linking text to a file

  1. Type in the word you want to link to
  2. Upload the file you want (see directions for uploading images and files)
  3. Highlight the word you chose: i.e. Proposal
  4. With the word highlighted, click on the image or file
  5. Your word then becomes a link to that file, i.e. Proposal
  6. SAVE
